CEE Animation Workshop Presents The 2025 Selection

CEE Animation Workshop is excited to announce its selection for 2025. 12 projects and 27 participants from 10 European countries have been carefully selected from 38 applications from 21 countries.

Among the 12 selected animated projects are five series, four feature films and three short films. The programme once again welcomes projects and participants from across Europe, while maintaining focus on the CEE region and low-production-capacity countries. This year’s line-up also includes two career-oriented participants joining the programme without projects as well as one scholarship-winning project from CEE Animation Forum 2024.

“We are excited to start the magical seventh edition of the workshop with a group of interesting projects and motivated participants from all over Europe. This year will be really special, as we are bringing many highlights! Firstly, we are proudly welcoming new group leaders, accomplished producers Annemie Degryse and Reka Temple, and we are starting the first module in Nova Gorica – Gorizia, the European Capital of Culture 2025. We are also looking forward to visiting Łódź for our summer module and  attending the CEE Animation Forum 2025 in November as a really nice closure to this edition. We are counting on a busy and inspiring year!” says Saša Bach, the Managing director.

The 7th edition of the CEE Animation Workshop will take place from March to October 2025 and will consist of four one-week modules; two modules will be held online (in May and October) and two modules will be organised on-site: March 10-16 in Nova Gorica / Gorizia (Slovenia / Italy) and July 28 to August 3 in Łódź, Poland.

Script consultants Phil Parker (UK) and Rita Domonyi (Hungary) will be joined in 2025 by two new group leaders, producers Réka Temple (Cinemon Entertainment, Hungary) and Annemie Degryse (Lumiere Group / Beast Studio, Belgium), bringing their wealth of experience and expertise to guide participants during their year-long training.

The CEE Animation Workshop embarks on its seventh edition with a programme built on the strong foundations from previous successful training sessions. Tailored to meet the specific needs of animation professionals, it will follow the selected projects from their early stages to the final developed production package, ready to access the market.

Through a combination of group work, personalised sessions and lectures, participants will receive invaluable feedback and opportunities to enhance their understanding of the animation industry, gain advanced skills needed to be competitive on the market and further grow their careers.
