CEE Animation’s mission is to support the emergence and development of the animation industry, especially in the countries of CEE, to support quality improvement, to support education, distribution, promotion, lobbying and improvement of conditions for the animation industry.

CEE Animation was established in Bratislava in March 2019 and later registered in Prague in September 2019 in a form of a European Economic Interest Grouping, with a goal to support and improve the conditions for creation of animation and to contribute to the development of the entire animated film industry and creation of appropriate creative conditions for its members.

A legal entity, a national association or an otherwise named organisation based in the territory of an EU Member State whose mission is to support and develop animated production. Member with voting rights at General Meeting, appoints its representative to the Council.

A legal entity, a national association for the support of animated production based in an EU Member State which wants to become a Member. Becomes Member with voting rights at General Meeting only after max. 2-years waiting period.

A natural person or legal entity, EU residence, demonstrably active in the field of animated production and carries out activities in the territory of the EU. No voting rights, but can participate in the Grouping’s events and shall be a recipient of all benefits granted to the Members.

A natural person or legal entity, non-EU residence, active in the field of animation, but is not at the same time a professional association. No voting rights, but can participate in the Grouping’s events and shall be a recipient of all benefits granted to the Members.

CEE Animation Bodies

Due to the broad scope of the CEE Animation activities, individual rights and obligations are divided and distributed among the different bodies and entities.

The supreme body of the CEE Animation.

Makes decisions on the CEE Animation’s strategic direction.

The statutory body of the CEE Animation.

Ensures the day-to-day operation of the CEE Animation.

Supervise the CEE Animation’s activities and the activities of its bodies.

CEE Animation is supported by the Creative Europe – MEDIA Programme of the European Union and co-funded by state funds and foundations and professional organisations from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia.
