CEE Animation brings together regional activities for promotion and development of animation and its talents in 17 countries of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). It seeks to increase professional experience, to present the abilities of filmmakers and producers, and improve the quality of content and the visual side of projects.

The Central and Eastern European territories with 170 million population of diverse cultures brings significant creative and market potential to be exploited. Development and raise of animation industry from low production capacity to the most developed territories standards need a comprehensive and heterogenous approach where CEE Animation tries to support and impact the crucial segments of industry. CEE Animation becomes an efficient network integrating national animation associations, producers, and studios, as well as authors, creating concrete opportunities for connecting and cooperating.

CEE Animation helps on increasing the capacity of animation producers to create works that will circulate internationally, by encouraging European co-productions through B2B initiatives, but also through sharing know-how about the market, financing and production strategies and creating a functioning and all-inclusive network of all relevant animation field operators (producers, TV broadcasters, distributors, policy makers, audience & marketing experts…). It supports decision makers with information and transfer of needs of the sector through articulating the information and data analysis. By sharing the specific conditions and needs it helps advocating the needs towards national and international policy makers. With extended activities of know-how and experience sharing it provides and insights to the models of business development and collaboration to empower industry players for growth of their project’s and professional proficiency.
