You are a space probe carrying a huge load of human music, and during your flight through empty space, you come across the planet Pogo, where they have no idea about music...
The Voyager space probe has been traveling through the cold, distant universe since 1977. After an unexpected passage through a wormhole, it emerges and arrives on the planet POGO, where it welcomes the surprised Pogoanians with greetings in every language imaginable. When they don't respond, it plays Mozart's Magic Flute and the rock 'n' roll song Go, Johnny, Go. This excites the young Pogoanians, who begin to investigate how they can get to Earth, where it must be so wonderful. Because there has never been any music on Pogo before.
Director’s statement
Our story is inspired by a real historical event from 1977, when "humanity" (NASA) sent the Voyager probe into space with a message to other civilizations: a golden disc with greetings and a cross-section of our cultures. What or who might the probe encounter? How would it be received? What would it say about humanity? These questions ran through my mind when my seven-year-old son brought home a picture of three aliens, Ino, Naka, and Pitapota, from school.
