Each, All and Every

Each, All and Every

Animated short film about the paradox of choice

Our protagonist, Mr Rabbit is unable to decide what to become when he grows up. Instead of choosing one path like everyone else, he escapes into his own imagination and creates multiple copies of himself. Through these copies he can see his different life choices. He enjoys this situation until one fatal mistake, a copy gets lost.

Director’s statement
We think that the unknown must be more exciting than what we already know.

How can we possibly settle on just one path, knowing that infinite possibilities exist?

More choice would logically simply an easier decision and a better resolution, however instead of picking just one we just keep searching for newer and newer choices, thinking there must always be a better one.

Paradox of choice leads to stress and in some cases even depression. However my goal was to make a short animation which focuses on the positives as well. The infinity of choice can be freeing in a way, there is joy in all the endless possibilities. Through Mr Rabbit’s journey we witness the different stages of his struggle to choose.

This story is about self-exploration and the journey towards self-acceptance.
