The Ghost of The Riverbend

A Dunakanyar szelleme

The 10-year-old reserved Cole finds a new friend, the bubbly Lily, and a new hobby: a thrilling investigation after he moves into an old, haunted house by the river. The story of a mischievous ghost boy unfolds, revealing a broken relationship mended by twisty adventures and the spirit of christmas.

Ten year-old Cole recently moved to an old mansion next to the river with his parents. The locals whisper that the house is haunted, but Cole’s parents dismiss it as old wives’ tales. Cole is a quiet boy, fond of birds, and likes to make drawings of them. He’s having trouble blending in with the new community but there is one kid in the town who has always been kind to him from the beginning, a classmate, Lily who has a peculiar hobby: she is interested in the paranormal activities in her spare time. Investigating the ghost of the old house creates a friendship amongst Cole and Lily and also the ghost of the house, Joe Pepper who is a rather mischievous little boy. One day Sergeant Matthew, a retired constable, makes a presentation at the school about the dangers of skating on the frozen river. He tells the story of his childhood friend and a broken friendship. Thanks to Lily and Cole’s investigation, the old and painful story of Joe and Sergeant Matthew unfolds and at Christmas night, they all end up at the “Ghost House” reconciling with each other which helps the ghost boy to find peace and leave the house. His soul can now pass on to spend the Christmas with his family.
