Pebbi

Pebbi

In a world of living stones where a year passes in a single day, small basalt Pebbi explores the valley with friends and family, learning about emotions and responsibility through discovery and play.

Imagine a world where stones, pebbles, and mountains are alive. In Stone Valley, a full year passes in a single day, from blooming spring mornings to snowy winter nights. Pebbi, a small basalt born from a volcano, has just moved here with his parents. He is a curious and energetic explorer who often acts before thinking. But he never gives up on fixing his mistakes, because he has a big heart and always wants to do the right thing. Together with his friends: clever Odo, strong Arnie, and shy Duni, he experiences everyday adventures only possible in this fast-paced world: planting a seed to see it sprout in just a moment, jumping on speedily growing mushrooms, or skipping across the water’s surface. Guided by his caring mom, inspiring dad, and adventurous grandpa, Pebbi learns to face fears, take responsibility, and understand his emotions. The series focuses on the first social and emotional experiences of children aged 4–6 through play, discovery, and everyday challenges.

Director’s statement
I grew up on heartfelt animated films and always wanted to create such stories on my own. As a child, I loved playing with miniatures and imagining the lives of inanimate objects like stones, leaves, or even cutlery. That's why I decided to let my fantasy spread its wings and bring one of these childhood fantasies to life with a world full of tiny living stones, depicting their unique ways of life. Stones are rarely the main characters in animated movies, which is why it’s so appealing to me, allowing everyone to peek into a unique world never discovered before.

We started creating Pebbi as a short animated film, but fell in love with the universe so much that we decided to expand it into a show. And a show, of course, starts with a pilot we’re working on right now.
