Bob & Bobby

Bob and Bobby live in a hat located in a caravan that belonged to a famous magician and is full of magical props. But whenever one of them tries to use one of these props, they always fail somehow. While cleaning out the caravan one day, Bob and Bobek discover a clue in a secret drawer that could lead them back to their lost magician. So, armed with the magician's props they discovered in the caravan, they set out on an adventurous quest. Along the way, they have many new experiences, make new friends and gradually discover that in the world of magic and illusion, things are not as they first appear. But in the end they find their magician, even if everything turns out differently than they expected.

Director’s statement
Following the successful debut of our first feature film "Bob & Bobby: On the Trail of Carrot Eater" (Cinema premiere December 2024, NETFLIX April 2025), we have also decided to expand on the esteemed Bob & Bobby series. This series originally comprised 91 short episodes (7 minutes each), created progressively from 1978 to 2005, and broadcast by Czech television as evening bedtime stories for children.
Bob is the larger and more intelligent character, often assuming a parental role. Conversely, Bobby is smaller, more timid, yet resourceful and imaginative, frequently embodying the role of the child.
Most characters demonstrate good manners and values, though the series is not a moral treatise. The rabbits engage in harmless mischief without showing fundamentally negative traits.
The planned initial series would include a 13-minut pilot and 7 episodes of 10 minutes each. However, we are open to discussing an alternative format as part of the co-production.
