ANiMPACT Workshop – Help shape international standards for sustainable animation

Sustainability is becoming an increasingly important part of how audiovisual projects are developed, produced and financed. At the same time, animation still lacks a shared framework that reflects the specific realities of 2D and 3D production. To respond to this need, Ecoprod, Green Film and Cine Regio are working together on ANiMPACT, a new set of international sustainability standards designed specifically for animation.

Based on 21 practical criteria, this framework aims to support more sustainable production in a way that is both realistic and adapted to industry practice. It is also expected to play an important role in shaping future funding requirements and production expectations across Europe and beyond.

This workshop is an opportunity for animation professionals to discover the first draft of the standards, better understand how they may influence the future of production and financing, and contribute directly to the discussion before the framework is officially presented. Your feedback is especially important in making sure that the standards reflect the working conditions, resources and challenges of the CEE region, and remain meaningful for studios and professionals across different contexts.

Please register via the form to join the session — all registered participants will receive the Zoom link ahead of the workshop.
