Zoé Borbé studied film at the Institut des Arts de Diffusion (IAD) in Louvain-la-Neuve and, after a master's degree in multimedia production, completed her training with a year at L'Atelier in Angoulême. After more than ten years working as an animator, Cucurbitaceae is her first short film as a director.
