Director and animator Mikk Mägi was born on July 5, 1987, in Tallinn.
He graduated from Rapla Ühisgümnaasium he studied animation at the Estonian Academy of Arts. In 2011, he founded the animation studio Birds of Paradise (BOP Animation OÜ). He is best known as one of the authors of Vanamehe Multikas (Old Man Cartoon), which is a wellknown brand as an animated feature film.
