Julie Černá

Julie Černá is a visual artist and animator coming from a small town in southern Moravia. She is pursuing her Master’s degree at UMPRUM in Animation and Film. Her debut film, Stone of Destiny, premiered at Berlinale. The film is based on her comic trilogy, which received the Muriel Award for Best Student Comic in 2022. Julie delves into the subtle melancholy that often lies hidden within moments of happiness. She is passionate about illustration and creating original comics.
