Danas is a director, animator, and graphic artist, currently based in Belgium. His far-reaching geography led him to work internationally in the last 20 years.
Danas has directed, co-directed, and animated several children's TV Series, and independent shorts and in the past decade he works as an animator on award-winning European feature films, among which are: “Song of The Sea”, “Breadwinner”, “Ethel And Ernest”, “The Swallows of Kabul”, “Wolfwalkers”, “Titina”. He graduated from Vilnius Art Academy with a Master’s degree in Graphics and Fine Arts. Danas’s innovative and forward-thinking led him to receive an award for the best graduation work for the animated e-book “The Missing Book”. He enjoys collaborating with musicians and visual artists on various projects. He has been illustrating and designing poetry, art and children books, as well as wall murals. In the little free time he also fulfills his passion playing the Jew’s Harp.
