Andrea Guizar

Andrea Guízar was born in Mexico City in 1989, studied Modern Italian Literature at UNAM and a Master's degree in Animation and Special Effects at the Polish National Film School in Lodz. She has made and directed the short films: Konstrukcja (2013), Mosaico, el vals del bazo (2015), El Spa del fin del mundo (2016) A cat's consciousness (2017) and Toothless (2021), which have been presented and won distinctions at national and international film festivals including Annecy, Uppsala Short Film Festival, Tampere Short Film Festival and the Morelia Film Festival. She was part of the SOMA Educational Program (2020-2022) and has participated in the group exhibitions PS1 at Biquini Wax (2019), La institución del relajo at Deviant (2022), Nature Must Go You Must Stay (2023) at La Clínica, Oaxaca and Y aquí hay fuego desembocado en el Museo de los Pintores Oaxaqueños.
