CEE Animation Forum 2021

26 – 29 April & 4 – 6 May

Welcome to the ninth edition of the CEE Animation Forum. This year our event will again take place online due to the pandemic circumstances. But we are making the most of it and extending it to two weeks!

PITCHING & B2B DAYS / 26 – 29 April

In the last week of April you will get a chance to take a look at the selection of 40 animated projects in development in the five competing categories – Feature Films, TV Series, Short Films, XR and a brand new category of student animated films – Rising Stars. Additionally we are presenting another new pitching session – Out of competition, showcasing the 5 winning animated projects in development from our regional partners’ pitching events. During this week we are also presenting our partners, their activities and the CEE Animation.

INDUSTRY DAYS / 4 – 6 May

In the first week of May we will be exploring the current topics, relevant for animation industry, such as regional funding, VOD platforms for animation, etc. As well as presenting some film screenings and case studies with the respective authors.

Our aim

The CEE Animation Forum is the leading regional pitching, financing and co-production event. It aims to boost the projects´ international potential, visibility and their access to a wider European market.

With our growing professional network we are building strong community with the aim to support the projects, to boost circulation of works, creative ideas and creating new partnerships, to give media exposure to selected projects through various media partners and to promote projects during the whole year, not only during the event, to follow the life of the project after Forum as well.

The main focus remains on two most important activities of Forum: pitching of European animated projects in development and on 1:1 industry meetings.

Professional audience of pitching event

The main audience of the event are established CEE, EU and international producers, creatives and industry agents from both, commercial, NGO and public institutions.

Audience: invited group of decision makers (established European professionals of various profiles: producers, sales and distributors, public and private broadcasters, scriptwriters and script doctors, festival programmers, film institutions representatives, market events representatives, official partners of the event), animation professionals from EU and CEE region, press media representatives, students.

1:1 meetings

All of the pitching teams and other professionals have opportunity to claim direct 1:1 meetings with other professionals attending the event.
