Kinotopia is a Bucharest-based production company established in 2006, initially focused on advertising before transitioning to filmmaking . The company produces fiction, animation, and hybrid films with strong visual and narrative identities. Notable works include The New Year That Never Came (2024), which won the Orizzonti Award at the Venice Film Festival . Kinotopia also produced The Magician, selected for the 2025 Annecy Festival .
