In a quest for cycling glory and gender equality, lifelong friends Mila and Dora embark on a daring journey to crash the male-dominated Giro d'Italia, but as they pedal through the decades of women's cycling history, they discover the path to victory is anything but smooth.
The story is told throughout one century of visual style and references. Mila and Dora pedaled through the city until an ungraceful tumble left Mila frustrated with her corset's constraints. Her anger fueled a decision to cast aside the restrictive garment forever. Mila's husband, Anton, opposed women cycling, sparking a confrontation that ended with Mila overpowering him. Determined, Mila and Dora aimed to join the Giro race. In Verona, Mila swiped gear to enter the race as men. They gained attention, with Mila winning a stage. Chaos erupted in the second stage with doping accusations and Anton exposing Mila. Dora fell behind but was rescued after Mila's crash. They approached the finish, celebrating with champagne while they were taken away in a police car.
