Kosmix: Secret Mission

Former space adventurer Robot Kit and his friend Mr. Battery work at a spaceport. One day, however, the Distance probe gets lost in space and Chief Engineer Stela is fired as a result. And with her all her robots, including our heroes. Kit, Stela and Mr. Battery decide to find the probe on their own. During their secret mission to Mars, they find out that more and more robots are disappearing in space. A trail leads them to the mysterious planet of Eris, where they find a strange robot community. The old probe Zedix rules there. He has taken over them and wants to seize all the robots from the spaceport too. Kit, Mr. Battery and Stela must face overwhelming odds to save their home and the whole planet Earth.

Director’s statement
Kosmix: Secret Mission is a spin-off to the successful popular science TV show for children. In 52 episodes robot Kit and his buddy Mr. Battery took kids through space and an underwater world. This film is a big leap from edutainment to a great adventure and fun for older kids 8-10 and their parents. We strive for a unique look by combining 2D cut-out animation with 3D elements in Blender accompanied by hand-drawn visual effects. The story revolves around the theme of getting obsolete and being replaced by newer models, robots and people alike. Despite its theme Kosmix: Secret Mission will be a funny adventure in space with a peculiar crew of heroes, robots, pirates with blades in their hands and jokes on their lips. Our goal is to make the audience shiver with thrills, give them good laughs and make them leave cinemas with smiles. I am looking forward to artistic and technical challenges of filmmaking but even more to collaboration with many talented people and friends.
