Freddie Little Chopin

Frycek Mały Chopin

Freddie – Little Chopin is a show about the joy of musical play and about the wonder of our world as a musical playground.

Freddie, lovingly called "Little Chopin," is an adventurous boy with a passion for music and an extraordinary gift: the power to transport others into the magical world of sound. With his messy mop of hair and boundless curiosity, Freddie lives in Warsaw alongside his spirited little sister Emily. Sharing more than just a name with the great Fryderyk Chopin, Freddie's talent and imagination set him apart. Together with Emily, his best friend Tytus, and a mysterious cat named Caramel, Freddie embarks on whimsical journeys through the realms of musical imagination, proving that life with music is full of joy, wonder, and endless creativity.

Director’s statement
Freddie is blessed with a relentlessly curious and powerful musical imagination. To Freddie, the ROOOAR of a motorcycle is as beautiful as the elegant hum of a violin, and the VOOOM of a vacuum cleaner is as magical as the majestic parp of a trumpet. Freddie's passion for play is almost as strong as his passion for sound and music.
The series' goal is to map the music world for kids offering not just a guidebook but a playbook! It focuses on creating engaging play patterns that bring musical phenomena to life, making music fun, interactive, and inspiring.
The animation style balances two captivating worlds. In the realistic setting, the visuals are light, witty, and vibrant, with playful colors and contour drawings that emphasize fun. When stepping into the world of imagination—capturing the awe and wonder that music inspires—the style transforms into artistic, hand-drawn animation, creating a dreamlike and expressive visual experience.
