Sarah Saidan is an animation filmmaker and scriptwriter.
Graduated from the Tehran University of Art and later from La Poudrière in 2011, as an animation film director, she has created several short films, including the multi-award-winning Beach Flags (2013) and Home of the Heart (2022), broadcasted on Arte and Netflix. Her films frequently explore humanitarian and feminist themes for audiences of all ages. Sarah Saidan has also been a member of the jury of several festivals, including Clermont Ferrand international short film festival, BIAF Animation Festival in South Korea, the Animateka Animation Festival in Slovenia and the Grenoble Short Film Festival.
