Sara Szymańska (b. 1996) is a Polish film director & animator based in Paris. During her studies at the Polish National Film School in Lodz, she created two short films, Five Minutes Older (2021) and Opening Night (2023), both of which gained global recognition. Screened at prestigious festivals such as the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival, the New Directors / New Films Festival at New York's MoMA and awarded. Currently she lives in Paris, working on her next short film entitled Watermelon.
