Sander Joon is an Estonian animation director.
His films Velodrool (2015), Moulinet (2017), and Sounds Good (2018) have travelled to festivals such as Annecy, DOK Leipzig, Ottawa, Go Short, Stuttgart, Fredrikstad, Kaboom, Supertoon, Animateka. Apart from films, he has animated music videos, participated in a popular commercial for Rick and Morty, and has been a VJ at numerous events. Sander also worked as a 2D artist for the multi-awarded film The Old Man Movie (2019) and he teaches traditional animation at the Estonian Academy of Arts. His most recent short animation Sierra (2022) premiered in Clermont-Ferrand ISFF and has won awards from Filmfest Dresden, San Francisco IFF, 2ANNAS, Glasgow IFF, and GLAS.
