Rita Domonyi is a freelance script editor and writer, working mainly on animation projects. She started her career in animation at Varga Studio in Hungary, where she became the Creative Development Manager of the company and worked on many animated children’s TV series. In the last decade, she was a teacher at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest (MOME), where she gave lectures within the Animation Masters programme and also at many international workshops, e.g. the Animation Sans Frontières, Essemble. She was involved in numerous festival-winning short films gaining more than 200 international prizes (e.g. Rabbit And Deer by Péter Vác (Annecy), and The Noise of Licking (Cannes) and Symbiosis (SXSW) by Nadja Andrasev). She is continuously involved in the development of animated shorts, television series and feature films. She is also the author of two successful children’s books.
