Born in Prague, Czechoslovakia in 1972, he is a director and producer.
After studying at FAMU in Prague, he co-founded the Negativ production company, makers of numerous films which have won prizes around the world. Since 2003 he has been a lecturer in the production department at FAMU. In 2012 he made his directing debut with Modrý Tygr (The Blue Tiger) which won a number of festival prizes. He worked as a producer on the animated feature by Michaela Pavlatova Moje slunce Mad (My Sunny Maad).
