Matěj Podskalský (1991) is a Czech screenwriter, director, and editor focused on animated films. He studied at FAMU in Prague. As a writer, he co-created the short animated film Red Shoes (2021), selected for the Cannes Film Festival (Cinéfondation) and other international festivals. He is currently working on the animated feature script The Firebird, supported by the Czech Film Fund.
