Lucija Smodiš works as a curator and producer in the field of contemporary art and animation.
She is the initiator, programe collaborator and producer of the International Film Festival StopTrik, dedicated to stop motion animation (Maribor, Slovenia / Lodz, Poland). She was the program director of the residency platform GuestRoomMaribor (2014 – 2024), Gallery K18 (2011, 2013 – 2022) and recently of OBRAT – space for art and participation (2023-2024). At the moment she is employed at the DSAF - Slovenian animated film association, establishing and coordinating an international artist in residency program for animators and curating exhibitions of Slovenian animated film.
