After earning a Law degree, Jerneja Kaja Balog followed her love for storytelling into studying Dramaturgy, where she wrote her first screenplay for animated film Farewell (2016). The creative freedom and endless visual possibilities of unfolding the story captured her completely. Since then, she’s collaborated as a screenwriter on several animated projects, including the Berlinale-premiered Stories from the Magic Garden (2025), and now shares her passion as a lecturer, consultant, and mentor.
