Jelena Popović

Jelena fled her native war-torn Sarajevo in 1992 and immigrated to Canada, where she graduated with a B.A. in Film Production at University of Quebec in Montreal. She forged her skills in production of conventional, interactive and hybrid documentary and animation films, directed the documentary The Knights of Orlando and edited, among others, Patrick Doyon's Oscar-nominated short Sunday. Producer at the National Film Board of Canada’s English Animation Studio since January 2014, Jelena has produced and coproduced a dozen multi-awarded films, including Hedgehog’s Home and Manivald.
