Jakub Rálek is a film and TV production graduate at FAMU - Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. In addition to a number of school films, including the award-winning animated films The Kite (dir. M. Smatana) and SH_T HAPPENS (screened at Venice Biennale and Sundance, by D. Štumpf, M. Mihalyi), which were co-produced with BFILM s.r.o. he has experience in independent, advertising, documentary, and TV production. He was the line producer of the web series #martyisdead which was the first Czech project to win the prestigious International Emmy Award 2020. Since 2022, he has been the producer and MD of the animation studio Divize animace, s.r.o. In 2023, he became MD of the company BFILM s.r.o., with which he previously worked.
