Dirk Beinhold

Dirk Beinhold is the founder, managing director and producer of Akkord Film, a leading European animation production company focusing on European feature films and series. With over 30 years of production experience – serving as Head of Creative Production at Studio Babelsberg, Deputy Head German Fiction at Pro7 and as Creative Executive at New Regency in the US – he lobbies for European animation as board member of the German Film Academy, of the German Production Alliance and, until 2025, as Vice Chairman of Animation in Europe. A former Adjunct Professor of International Coproductions at Chap-man University in Singapore, Dirk holds an MFA from the renowned Peter Stark Producing Program of the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles and a degree in Political Science from the Free University of Berlin.
