Born in 2002, Abigél Dérczy is an emerging animation director combining absurd humour with autobiographical storytelling. She graduated from the BA programme at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME) in 2024. In 2025, she completed an exchange semester at UMPRUM in Prague, creating the animated short Ř, which was selected for multiple international film festivals. She is currently pursuing her MA at MOME, developing How to Become a Landlord?, while working as a freelance animator.
