RE-ACT Animation Lab: First edition wrapped up!

Let’s GO animation!

The first edition of the RE-ACT Animation Lab brought a unique collaboration between CEE Animation Workshop & Labs and film institutions from four territories in the South-Central Europe region: FVG Audiovisual Fund, Slovenian Film Centre, Croatian Audiovisual Centre and Film Center Serbia.

This training offered a unique opportunity for film producers looking to gain a deeper insight into the animation industry and production. It was led by two renowned international experts, Anna Mroczek (WJTeam & Likaon, Poland) and Ilan Urroz (Foliascope, France), who shared their experience and expertise in the field of animated films. Part of the program was dedicated to individual presentations by participants and discussions on the challenges and potential of their developing projects or simply their career ambitions related to animation. We also hosted a masterclass detailing the specifics of animation industry in the CEE region, which was held by Jožko Rutar (SPOK / Staragara, Slovenia).

The added value of the training program was also in the networking and meeting opportunities with representatives from the animation industry: through dinners, an animation film screening, case study discussions, and other events, as the program overlapped with the CEE Animation Conference GO! 2025 and the CEE Animation Workshop training programs, resulting in a community of over 100 animation film professionals and decision-makers in one place, making it a wonderful opportunity to step into the world of animated films.

Selected participants of the 2025 edition of RE-ACT Animation Lab were:

Tamara Babun Zovko, Wolfgang&Dolly, Croatia

Zoran Dževerdanović, Blade Prduction, Slovenia
