Join the Second and Third IP-Thlon Workshop on IP Management in Animation – Anima Mundi
The ANIMA MUNDI project, in partnership with CEE Animation and Sant’Anna University, Pisa, is organizing two intensive 1.5-day brainstorming meetings on Intellectual Property (IP) management in animation.
Taking place from 8– 10 and 9– 11 June 2026, alongside the renowned Animafest, World Festival of Animated Film, the workshops allow participants to benefit from the festival’s industry programme and guests.
The workshop will feature lectures on copyrights and trademarks, explore IP exploitation, innovative IP – based business models, legal frameworks, and best practices.
The event brings together up to 15 industry professionals each to address the challenges of IP-based exploitation business models. It aims to enhance sector knowledge and know-how while identifying recommendations and needs. The working methodology combines presentations, case studies, structured discussions, and a facilitated agenda. Particular emphasis is placed on major Asian markets, including China, South Korea, and Japan.
The workshop aims to create actionable strategies addressing the key challenges European animation independents (EAIE) face in exploiting their intellectual property rights across both EU and non-EU countries.
All travel, accommodation, and facilitation costs are fully covered. As two IP – Thlons are organised back-to-back, several arrival and departure options are available.
Target Audience
Animation producers, studio heads, and IP specialists with demonstrated IP management experience or clear business development goals centered on IP strategy and expansion, are invited to apply. Upon arrival the participants will be assigned to focused working groups for facilitated discussions, culminating in concrete conclusions and ideas.
