The CEE Animation Workshop is proud to announce a new cooperation with the Short Film Market Clermont-Ferrand. The partnership will take place in form of an Animation Lab, which will happen in Clermont-Ferrand, France, during the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival & Short Film Market from 28 January to 1 February 2023.
Animation Lab offers intensive training tailored to producers wishing to gain knowledge and insight into the production and distribution of animated short films. The 4-day residential workshop aims at providing an in-depth exploration of the animation industry. It tackles topics such as short animation project development, production and post-production, festivals strategy and distribution.
The schedule consists of inspirational lectures by leading experts, of group work where participants present their production plans and project ideas and receive feedback from fellow producers and the group leaders. It also includes individual consultation with expert group leaders.
The workshop is run by renowned international professionals Kristel Toldsepp (A Film, Estonia), producer, and Clémence Bragard, festival programmer and coordinator, curator, podcaster and event manager. It is accompanied with the representatives of the CEE Animation Workshop.
CEE Animation Workshop Lab is open to international producers from all film and audio-visual backgrounds interested in or in the process of transitioning to animation production, with or without a project. The participants of the 1st edition of the Animation Lab are:
