CEE Animation Workshop 2025: Final Module Underway
The seventh edition of the CEE Animation Workshop is wrapping up with its 4th module being held online from October 13 to 17. During the first two days, participants will have 1:1 meetings with decision-makers while the remainder of the week will be dedicated to group work sessions, lectures, and special presentations. The fourth and final module is the culmination of participants’ hard work throughout the year. Over the course of the intensive training, 12 projects have been developed and fully prepared to access the market and make their mark in the world of animation.
The seventh generation of CEE Animation Workshop brought together 26 international animation professionals. During the year-long programme, they developed their projects from the early concept stage to a fully developed production package and pitch. Through a combination of group work, personalised sessions and lectures, participants received invaluable feedback and opportunities to enhance their understanding of the animation industry, gain advanced skills needed to be competitive in the market and further grow their careers.
An intensive programme hosted internationally renowned professionals who brought their wealth of expertise and experience in animation. Established producers Annemie Degryse (Lunanime Productions, Belgium and Les Productions de Milou, France) and Réka Temple (Cinemon Entertainment, Hungary) joined the training as main group leaders and Phil Parker (United Kingdom) and Rita Domonyi (Hungary) worked as group leaders – script advisors.
The fourth module will once again welcome guest experts from various fields of the animation and AV industry. Ukrainian director Anastasiia Falileieva (I died in Irpin) and Hungarian director Balazs Turai (Amok) will offer valuable inspiration and practical insights into creating impactful short films. Denis Walgenwitz, an experienced French line producer of animation, will provide participants with essential practical tools for managing the production timeline and constructing budgets.
Sabina Briški Karlić and Vlaďka Chytilová will present the Funding Opportunities within the Creative Europe Media programme. Danka Krasnohorska (Global Constellation) will offer valuable insights into securing the best deals for projects when negotiating contracts with sales agents, while Richard Rowe (Studio 100 International) will hold a lecture on distribution: The kids broadcast market seen through the lens of a distribution company.
