CEE Animation Workshop and the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Market are partnering again this year to bring the Animation Lab to Clermont-Ferrand. The 4-day workshop is open to international producers from all areas of the film and audiovisual industry who are interested in producing animated films or are about to enter this sector – preferably but not exclusively with a project idea or short project in development.
It will take place from February 3 to 6 in Clermont-Ferrand, during the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival & Short Film Market. Producers must send their application via online form by December 4, 2023 latest: https://forms.gle/cmtJXgsoxAc5W4L9A
Animation Lab Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Market 2024 offers intensive training tailored to film producers who want to gain knowledge and insight into the production and distribution of animated short films. It aims to provide an in-depth insight into the animation industry. It covers topics such as the development of short animation projects, production and post-production, festival strategy and distribution. The programme is built around inspiring lectures by leading experts, group work on project ideas and production plans, feedback sessions and individual consultations. A session will review the different financing possibilities in Europe, provided by a Creative Europe – MEDIA programming expert.
The intense workshop will be led by two experienced animation professionals, Annemie Degryse (Studio Lunanime, Belgium) and Kristel Toldsepp (A Film, Estonia) under the guidance of representatives of the CEE Animation Workshop.
In addition to the enhanced skills, participants will receive free accreditation to the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Market and post workshop benefits through their inclusion to the CEE Animation network of alumni with continuous access to lectures and presentations and discounts to participate in industry-leading events. The workshop will include up to 10 participants. The participation fee (€250) for selected producers will include all tuition fees, accreditation and lunches (travel and accommodation are not covered). The workshop will be held in English.
The workshop is prepared in collaboration between the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Market and the CEE Animation Workshop and supported by Creative Europe MEDIA subprogramme.
