13 CEE Animated Projects at Cartoon Movie 2020

The French city of Bordeaux will host CARTOON MOVIE (March 3 – 5, 2020), the European co-production forum for animation feature films. Nearly 900 professionals from the sector will have the opportunity to get to know 66 new animation films in different stages of development: from in concept projects to films ready for their release this year. We are bringing you the selection of projects coming from the CEE region.

Cartoon Tributes 2020

The Cartoon Tributes are the awards for outstanding contribution to the development of European Animation over the last year. All professionals attending the Cartoon Movie will vote for their favorite nominee in three categories: Director, Distributor and Producer of the Year.

This year’s nominee coming from the CEE region are:

European producer of the year:

Atom Art (Latvia) / Letko (Poland) for “Jacob, Mimmi and the Talking Dogs”, directed by Edmunds Jansons
Trickstudio Lutterbeck (Germany) / Balance Film (Germany) / Doghouse Films (Luxembourg) / Artémis Productions (Belgium) / MAUR film (Czech Republic) for “Fritzi – A Revolutionary Tale”, directed by Ralf Kukula & Matthias Bruhn

The vote and ceremony will take place in Bordeaux on Thursday 5 March.
